About Us
Established in 2015, Digital Frontiers (DF) is a non-profit development sector implementing partner headquartered in Africa with a team across 32 countries in Africa, Asia and representation in the US, UK and Europe. We’re focused on building human capacity aligned with achieving the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals and linking that to human connection through local market facilitation. To date we have built and implemented comprehensive programmes that support the acceleration of global initiatives in digital financial services and financial inclusion, gender equality and inclusive digital economies.
Our funders both past and present include The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Omidyar Networks (Flourish Ventures), FSD Africa, UNCDF and MasterCard Foundation. Digital Frontiers has a hybrid business model that includes commercial activities so that we too can co-fund our initiatives while establishing ourselves as a sustainable organisation.

Join Our Growing Team
At Digital Frontiers we are always looking for ‘unicorns’ to join our growing organisation. We have a global team of over 180 in over 32 countries all working with a common purpose – to make the world a better place through strengthened capabilities and human connections. Whilst we do have a list of vacancies you can peruse, and we may be on the lookout for certain skills to fit those vacancies, we also pride ourselves on hiring the person, not the skillset – as our CEO Gavin likes to say, ‘if cauliflower can be pizza, you can be anything,’. We also pride ourselves in having built a culture that embraces and fosters diversity, equity and inclusion – we really do practice what we teach! If you want to know more, you can view our current vacancies or get in touch.
