Digital Frontiers Appoints Xavier Martin as Chief Operating Officer as of 1 January 2024

Digital Frontiers is pleased to announce the appointment of Xavier Martin as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). 

Xavier Martin, who has been serving as DFI Division Director at Digital Frontiers since November 2016, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in leadership and strategic management. His impressive career includes roles such as Interim Commercial Vice President at Unión Andina, SA, where Xavier led a team of 30 commercial and operations officers, overseeing offices in New York and Miami.  

For over 10 years Xavier Martin served as a Development Finance Consultant. In this role, he functioned as an Advisory Board Member and Consultant for at EA Consultants as well as consulted for renowned institutions such as the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, International Labor Organisation, Shorebank International, and the Microfinance Information Exchange. Xavier played a pivotal role in analysing and evaluating financial institutions’ operations, conducting market studies, and developing business cases in over 15 countries.  

Xavier Martin also served as the Coordinator of the International Microfinance Programme at Un Sól Mon Foundation from 2003 to 2005. Xavier Martin’s rich and diverse professional background also includes his role as an Analyst at Caixa Catalunya from 1995 to 2002.
