Digital Frontiers evolves its Board of Directors to lead the next Chapter of Growth

Cape Town, 18 March 2025 – Digital Frontiers is pleased to announce key changes to its Board of Directors, marking a significant step in the organisation’s continued evolution and strategic growth. These changes include the appointment of new Executive and Non-Executive Directors, further strengthening our leadership team as we continue to drive meaningful impact.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Nhlanhla Mjoli-Mncube, CEO and Director of Eziko Investments, who has completed her eight-year tenure on the Digital Frontiers Board of Directors, concluding her term as Non-Executive Director on 31 December 2024. We thank Nhlanhla for her invaluable contributions, strong leadership, strategic guidance, and unwavering commitment. Her leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping our growth and impact, helping to position Digital Frontiers as the organisation it is today. 

Effective 1 January 2025, we welcomed Ndumi Medupe as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC). Ndumi is a highly respected Chartered Accountant (SA) with over 29 years of professional experience, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of Indyebo Incorporated. Her extensive board experience, spanning over 15 years, has been instrumental in shaping governance, risk management, and strategic decision-making for leading organisations. Her expertise and strong leadership abilities will be invaluable in continuing Digital Frontiers’ financial stewardship and ensuring the organisation’s long-term sustainability. 

When asked about joining Digital Frontiers’ Board of Directors, Ndumi shares “I am excited to be part of a team that leverages digital innovation to build a Workforce for Good—one that transforms lives and empowers communities. By partnering with the development sector, we co-create meaningful opportunities and advance solutions that improve education, health, and economic resilience. This aligns to my core value of ensuring that as we rise, we uplift others with us.”  

In addition, Todd Malone officially joined the Board as an Executive Director and CEO of Digital Frontiers, effective 1 March 2025. With a distinguished career in global non-profits, social enterprises, and development organisations, Todd brings extensive experience in scaling large programmes, managing multi-million-dollar portfolios, and forging strategic partnerships with governments and funders worldwide. Under Todd’s leadership, Digital Frontiers is poised to deepen its role as a trusted partner to the development sector.  

Regarding his appointment as Executive Director, Todd States “Digital Frontiers has made great strides and incredible impact over the past decade. I’m excited to work closely with the new and existing Board members to leverage the progress to date and increase the depth and breadth of our partnership with the development sector.” 

Furthermore, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Xavier Martin Palomas, Chief Operating Officer at Digital Frontiers, as an Executive Director, effective 1 March 2025. Since joining Digital Frontiers in 2016, Xavier has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic acumen. He has an infinite understanding of the way in which our business operates and how we serve the development sector. His career spans multiple senior roles, including Interim Commercial Vice President at Unión Andina, SA, where he led a team overseeing commercial and operational functions across New York and Miami. His expertise in business operations and strategic growth will be instrumental in shaping Digital Frontiers’ future.

Ndumi, Todd, and Xavier join existing Directors Alka Gupta, Kate Bravery, SungAh Lee, and Gavin Krugel in leading Digital Frontiers.
