Our Digital Financial Inclusion Supervision (DFIS) graduate actively participated in developing a financial consumer protection law encompassing digital financial services and FinTechs. This financial consumer protection law provides two directives: Fair Treatment of Financial Consumers and internal redress mechanisms. This student recognised the DFIS programme contributed towards the use of a gender lens to draft a new policy within the Consumer Protection Act and to expand supervision from traditional financial services to incorporate FinTech.
